Filing this bug in Bugzilla in order to keep Real folks in the loop, with Real's
permission.  Do not use dates in this bug.  

Real will provide an updated Windows build of RealPlayer 8 that is smaller and
includes some bug fixes for inclusion in our next release.  We do *not* have
this yet, however we do have a pre-final build that we should check in to the
tree in order to begin testing early and to see if some related real bugs are
indeed fixed.  The bugs that we should check once we have included this update are:

Bug 56187 - DOS boxes flashing during install 
Bug 59320 - Crash on install 
Bug 56268 - fail to register message - might be related to 59320
Bug 63105 - Real Player creates temp files that are not removed 

I will send the link to the pre-final bits in a separate email.

Real Player should be included in the "Full" installation and default checked in
the "Custom" installation, as it is in 6.0.

keep this bug open to make sure we get the final builds of RealPlayer.

Yes, this is the gold version of their player that they would like us to ship in
our next release.

Does this mean we're creating the .xpi files for these or are we just including
the executable?  Would prefer as .xpi files.  Also, can we widen the scope of
this bug to include Mac (and Linux?) or should those be separate bug reports.  I
believe we did get the Mac builds from them as well.

problems.

Separate bug is already filed for mac (bug 68209).  Real does not have a
shippable version of RealPlayer for Linux yet - only a thrill seeker version.
They're working on it.

We really need to get this new version of RealPlayer in the builds so that we
can test for beta.  Marking nsbeta1+.

leaf is focused on mozilla 0.9 right now.  as soon as that's shipped he should
have time to take care of this.

let's get this done.  setting to moz 0.9.1.
