Details

Steps to reproduce: 1) Open the address book, and do a search for "test123" 2) Create a new contact, and fill in the name as "Mike Conley" and the e-mail address as "mikeconley@invalid.com", and press OK. What happens: The newly created contact is not displayed in the results pane, because the search for "test123" is still active, and the new contact does not match it. What is expected: The newly created contact should be focused to give feedback that it was actually created.
Thanks for reporting this, but I just wanted to mention that my original report (on your blog) was a much narrower scenario: http://mikeconley.ca/blog/2011/08/25/fidding-with-designs-for-a-future-thunderbird-address-book/comment-page-1/#comment-11626 Steps to reproduce: 1) Open the address book, and do a search for "test123" 2) Create a new contact, and fill in the name as "test123" and the e-mail address as "mikeconley@invalid.com", and press OK. What happens: The newly created contact is not displayed in the results pane, even though the new contact matches the search criteria for "test123". What is expected: The new search results pane should be updated as soon as you click OK to create the new contact. If the new contact is automatically focused that would be an added bonus.
