Hi Laura,
This is also part of the Rapid Release Branding project. We are still in the design phase but would like to get this page finalize and push live no later 3.11 (sept 20). Although, it would be great if we can push the week before. I will keep you posted once the design is finalize.
In addition, I would like this page to be:
aurora.mozilla.org
and firefox.com/aurora and mozilla.org/aurora to be redirected to this page.
Thanks!

hi laura f and steven,
here is the final psd for the Firefox Aurora Page.
http://mozilla.tyflanagan.com/artwork/Nightly_Aurora/FFx_Aurora_Download.psd.zip
Can we still push this for 3.12 push this tuesday?
Also, note on the rss feed, can we make sure that it only pulls blog post that are tag as Firefox Aurora (rather than pulling everything that's posted in the blog)?
please let me know if you have any additional questions.
thanks!

We're working on this today. It's a tight timeline to have it ready for the push on Tuesday - as we only got the files on Friday afternoon, but I think we'll have it ready for QA by the end of the day. If QA can get to it later today, or early tomorrow, we should be ok.
I'll update the bug when we have it together.

Thanks Steven. We realize this is pretty last minute, so it's okay if this needs to go out between releases in order to receive proper QA.
On a completely different implementation note: we currently have some DCS (I believe) tracking on the current Aurora Download button that lets us know when a download has happened within Webtrends. This tracking should be on both the desktop and mobile versions and should look something like "WT..."
it's important that we want to maintain that tracking on these new pages. Let me know if you have questions and I can loop in our WT account rep if I can't answer them.

Here's the copy for the top portion of this page, with a couple of slight tweaks:
PREVIEW FEATURES
Get a first look at the latest developer tools, security features and innovative HTML5 and other Web technologies.
SHARE FEEDBACK
Test performance in an experimental environment, file bugs and help us determine what makes it to Beta.
SHAPE FIREFOX
Become part of a community of users, contributors and developers working to make the next Firefox our best yet.

Where should the "Join the conversation »" button in the footer link to?

Grace replied on IRC and we're going to omit the "Stay Connected" area of the page for now.
I've got the page all setup in trunk. Ready for review/QA: http://www-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/aurora/ (might take a few minutes to show up).

Looking great. Just one thought: Not sure if this is possible, but should we have the Aurora check box preselected in the newsletter signup form? (Do we even need to have the Beta and Final Release options on this page?)

I showed this to Martell and he was saying that the Firefox wordmark and the links along the top should be white, like they are here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/404

Indeed - good catch. I missed a few files in my commit. Should be fixed now.

I'm still seeing the dark Firefox wordmark in the heading on this page in production. Looks like a caching issue.
This is the CSS include:
http://mozcom-cdn.mozilla.net/includes/min/min.css?g=css&2011-09-07
if you tweak the date var at the end to anything else:
http://mozcom-cdn.mozilla.net/includes/min/min.css?g=css&2011-09-07XXX
you get the newer CSS, but even a shift+refresh won't turn up the newer copy at the first URL.
Is it just that the CDN is lagging in updates?

The page is live (though with a caching issue we're still working on in Comment #14).
I've filed a new bug for the other redirects - we'll need IT for the subdomains: Bug 690788

It seems our CDN does not like when '&' is in a URL without &.
