Details

Go to Prefs, advanced, proxies. When you click on proxies all the text fields are enabled, and then disabled instantly (if direct connection to the internet is chosen). Only the required text fields should be enabled by default.
This is not a bug. The problem is just a speed issue. When you click on "proxies" in the advanced category, first we display the panel *then* we disable the textfields that should not be editable. Because the pref panel is a little slow, you actually see the enabled textfields being disabled, so this is not really a bug. Sairuh, am I correct?
Perhaps a speed issue, but the logic of it seems reverse. It should probably work the other way around instead: So that it opens DIS-abled - and then enables, if manual settings exist.
methinks this sounds like bug 41073 and/or bug 42003. taking the former... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 41073 ***
