Background:
I have a found something that caused me frustration, while using search option in Thunderbird more than once. I ignored it until today. Today I decided that I should tell the product team about it, but discovered that there is no trivial way to do it!  So below are two things combined, product feedback and website feedback or in other words - Ideas to improve the product and an idea to improve feedback channel.

Feedback channel:
As I mentioned above, I couldn't find a direct and simple way to provide feedback. I starting by looking for an option in the product menu, but couldn't find one. Then I went to the website and that wasn't trivial as well as you can see the steps I made, which are described in 'The path of feedback' section below.
From this experience I would like to propose:
1. Add to the Thunderbird Help drop-down menu a feedback option (similar to firefox->help->report a problem).
2. Have a bold link in the website that invites users to leave feedback
3. Separate the interconnection between Thunderbird website and Mozilla, which is a Firefox oriented website. Or at least notify that the links are not thunderbird specific (see steps described in 'The path of feedback' section below)

The path of feedback:
I was searching for a place to leave a feedback. My steps were as follow:
1. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/
2. clicking support -> http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/home
3. Confusing page (the word feedback is not even on the page!), clicked contact us (low low in the page) ->
4. A map! (unexpected, but ok...) -> scrolled down to 'Tell Us What You Think' -> product feedback
5. A firefox feedback page! pressing back in the browser, maybe I clicked the wrong link. no it is the right one.
6. Pressing website feedback have brought me to write this mail.

We can use this to implmement a menu item to Mozilla Connect. Firefox uses "Share Ideas and Feedback..." in their Help menu. I rather like that positive wording. I think we will want get this into 101.0b2.

I linked this to bug 576059 which was specific to getting feedback from beta users about new features. We will want to think about whether we want an alternate feedback mechanism for beta (we will have that in some sense with the beta topicbox), or whether we just consider this bug as implementing that idea.

I think it would be good to get this into 114 if possible, hopefully we can use connect.mozilla.org with a Thunderbird category added.

The mechanism and menu added in v102 via bug 1773900. But it was implemented too late to use the preferred strings. So the only thing left to do is post v102 is alter the implmentation to "Share Ideas and Feedback".

And I think bug 576059 can be wontfix.

Ah you're right. I'm just going to close this one then. Is there a bug filed for that string change? Should be filed if it's not.
