From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.76 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.0-test10 i686)
BuildID: 2000110321

If you haven't yet configured mail, when you click on a mailto: link, a compose
window immediately pops up, THEN the mail configuration wizard comes up over it.
Unfortunately, the compose window is not updated with the values from the
configuration wizard and f you try to use it, you get errors.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start with an unconfigured mail system (clean install)
2.Click on a mailto: link. A compose window pops up. Then the mail configuration
wizard pops up over it.
3.Configure your mail and click finish.

Actual Results: You now have a window onscreen that looks and acts like a good
compose window, but it has the wrong settings -- it cannot be used to send mail.

Expected Results: Mozilla should have waited until mail was configured before
popping up the compose window.

Possibly related to bug 42956
Yes, they do appear related. However, you don't have to cancel the Account
Wizard. The compose window appears and is non-functional even if you finish
configuring mail.
over to varada. Did we already fix this problem?

We fixed this problem and I am not seeing this problem with the latest build
20010212 WinNT. I suggest updating the builds and trying again.
worksforme, linux build 2001-03-06-08. Composition win is correctly updated to
use the newly created identity.

Marking worksforme. Scott, please reopen if you are still seeing this with a
recent build.
