If you visit the URL, you will see the problem described below. It is due to the following errors in that page: <td colspan=1 align=right ><font class="wmnow">42&#176F</font></td> ... <td width=17% align=right ><font class="wmhigh">45&#176F</font></td> etc. They should be using: &#176;F ^ =============================== Subject: Possibly an ignorant question Date: Thu, 15 Feb 2001 20:47:39 -0500 From: "MARTIN A. HERR" <mah2@lehigh.edu> Newsgroups: netscape.public.mozilla.general I have looked at Netscape 6, Mozilla milestone 0.7 and 0.8. With all of these releases, if I go to www.mycnn.com (with essentially default font/language/encoding settings)and log in to my account, the degree symbol for the temperatures in my home town are replaced by question marks. I also just went to www.yahoo.com, and all the dots in between the links were replaced by question marks. I fiddled with the font/language/encoding settings, but nothing seems to change the question marks to the intended symbols (that always properly display in Navigator 4.X). Is this purposeful? Is there a way to get Mozilla milestone 0.8 to display them the way they were meant to be? Martin
