(Whiteboard: [mobile_unittests])

The feature is currently on mozilla-central for Android builds. By running remote-reftest with EXTRA_TEST_ARGS="--setpref=layers.acceleration.force-enabled=true". These test will require that the device run at a resolution of at least 800x1000 since ignore-window-size is not, and likely will never be, supported for OpenGL Layers (See bug 672704). We need to add a new R(GL1|2) test. Testing with the Toronto tegra board show that there is some random failures. Were expecting less then 10. I'm hoping to collect data for the first day to identify which test are randoms.

tbpl sez: please include the (case doesn't matter) string "opengl" in the test name.
I'm just curious what the time frame for getting this fixed is for planning purposes.
We've changed our plans: We plan on changing the default configuration for the Tegra GPU to run with OpenGL Layers. This means that tinderbox will be testing the OpenGL Layers configuration by default. We need tinderbox to add crashtest+reftest for Basic Layers which will now be the non default configuration for Tinderbox for which we will loose test coverage when the change lands. Instead of the pref above, the test should be run by setting the preference 'layers.acceleration.disabled=true'.

Found in triage. jmaher will get to this next week, so reassigning to him. Once there's something tested and ready to deploy into production, jmaher will either reassign this back to RelEng or file a new/separate bug.

Updating status here, jmaher is working on getting the reftest system rebuilt for birch so that it works with native fennec. Once that happens then we'll be working on addressing this bug.
Is this still a bug we should be working on?
:gbrown, I suspect this isn't a useful bug to keep open

We haven't ship this configuration since 2010 and will never ship it again.
