Steps to reproduce:

Created an HTML signature in a file and pointed Thunderbird to it. Using latest version 7.0.1 . Also saw this in 7.0 .

Actual results:

Every time I compse a message, the spell checker flags the HTML code as misspelled, reading it literally.

Expected results:

Spell checker should either ignore style codes adn only look at strings in the HTML code, or ignore the signature entirely.
