Steps to reproduce:

try to download messages.


Actual results:

thunderbird stops download (sometimes) with a variety of messages.  some messages are cryptic but it appears that it won't download a message it thinks is spam.  i've tried downloading just message headers but the download dialog will not work, probably for same reason.,


Expected results:

messages are marked as spam,  the message filter will catch these, so the download process shouldn't be involved.

There are options in filters to delete messages and to delete messages from POP server. Maybe you have configured one of them. Check your filter configuration.
