Details

The feature to assign a local photo or a URL of a photo is broken in TB 7, if the source image is not available. In case of the local photo, the contact is not editable anymore (nothing happens when clicking OK). In case of a URL the contact is editable, but the photo is lost (not even the default photo is shown). 1. edit a contact, assign a local photo, save the contact 2. delete or rename the photo on the harddisk 3. edit the same contact again and try to save
I'm testing on a windows machine, but I guess it happens on all platforms.
OS: Windows 7 → All
This bug is related to bug 548266. In my opinion the photo (local/web) should not be copied/downloaded every time a contact is edited. Instead it should only be done initiated by the user, e.g. by clicking the 'update' button or by selecting a new local file. Also the selected file is not checked if it is an image at all.
I did some more research, this is a dup of bug 691141 and seems to be a regression of bug 664726
