When I click "Custom range" it seems to be possible to enter any date I like, e.g. 01/01/1900. Given that the first data point in the database appears to be 05/31/2009 this isn't very useful. The system should notify the user if no data can be provided for the date selected rather than playing stupid.

I'll try to modify the backend so I know what the earliest date for as given addon with data is. For the meantime, I'm limiting the date-pickers to the lifespan of the addon.

Limiting to the lifespan of the add-on is a great idea. If the suggested fix is too expensive (time or processing) we'll close this bug.
