Steps to reproduce:

check for new mail with IMAP


Actual results:

I got an error message that was truncated at the left because I am using a 12" netbook and not a 100" wide screen. Plus, the message cannot be found in the error console.


Expected results:

The message should have been broken up into more than 1 line.
And it should be found in the error console.

(I am not complaining that there is an error message, I am complaing that I can't read it)

Can you remember part of the message? Otherwise we can't know which one it was to fix it.

12" netbook is fine, it mainly depends on your screen resolution. So what is your?

See the screenshot that was attached to my bug report. In the meantime I also know the cause of the error, I had "encrypted password" with STARTTLS, and my ISP has told me to use "normal password", and said that it encrypts anyway through STARTTLS.

The english text isn't that long:
The IMAP server %S does not seem to support encrypted passwords. If you just set up this account, please try changing to 'Normal password' as the 'Authentication method' in the 'Account Settings | Server settings'. If it used to work and now suddenly fails, please contact your email administrator or provider.

Sorry, missed the attachment :)

OK, I'll see how the English text is split across lines. If it is fine than it is a problem in the German translation.
I think 1366 should be enough.
I think some of the UI work was aimed to make TB usable on 800x600, but maybe that is long gone. But 1024x768 should be supported.

The English version is also defined as one long line. So there should be code somewhere to wrap it in the error dialog.

But that is something I can't currently check.
