User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.932.0 Safari/535.8 Steps to reproduce: I upgraded to the latest version of thunderbird on Windows 7 Actual results: All my IMAP accounts stopped working, and I now get the following error: 'The IMAP server xxxxxx@xxxxx.com doesn't support the selected authentication method. Please change the Authentication method in Account Settings' The authentication method is normal password. Expected results: I should be able to access all my email accounts, this is only happening after the upgrade on windows I have a linux laptop working just fine.
What is your current Server Settings of the IMAP account? Port, Security Settings: Connection Security Is current setting same as one which your ISP requests? > I upgraded to the latest version of thunderbird From which version of Tb to Tb 8? From Tb 7?
Then you can try to collect the IMAP log: Set environment variables before starting Thunderbird. NSPR_LOG_MODULES=IMAP:5 NSPR_LOG_FILE=some/path/to/filename
Allan, please, could you answer to comment #1 and\or comment #2?
