RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 702578

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0
Build ID: 20111104165243

Steps to reproduce:

I created a custom map in Google maps(under the "My Places" section). I added a marker and then changed it's icon to a custom one. Then just embeded the map with the Google's iframe code, and displayed it on a site.

This behavior can't be reproduced in earlier versions of Firefox(I've tested on FF 3.6/7.0 on Windows 7), but can be reproduced on Aurora, and FF 8 on Windows XP/7, Max OS X.

If you want to see the exact issue, you can just go at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=207993973133710768938.0004ae9da547d0546812d&msa=0 .
After viewing it with FF 8, try viewing the page in other browsers(either older versions of FF or different browsers - it's your choice).

Actual results:

The map renders, but the marker is invisible(inspecting it with FireBug shows that the marker is actually there, but it's just either transparent, or hidden by something else). Additionally again through FireBug's Net log I can see, that the image is requested and loaded correctly.

Expected results:

The marker should be visible on the map.

Additional info: if you change the view from "earth" to "satelite" the marker will be visible!
Is there somewhere an statement from Mozilla, or is this bug too trivial?
