70639 - Postscript output is excessively large

Description

Printing to a Postscript driver generates huge spool files. For example,
attached are output files from the same URL generated by Mozilla 2001022805
(size 4.8M) and IE (size 255K). Note huge number of doNimage lines in Mozilla
output. Files of this size choke printers and spoolers. (The URL from which
these files were generated is not publicly accessible. Sorry.)

Bugzilla refuses to accept Mozilla's Postscript output file, reporting a
"software error". Perhaps the file is too large. If you want it, please provide
an email address and I'll be glad to send it directly.

Note that 68779 specifically refers to Solaris and comments imply the problem is
external to Mozilla. So, no, this doesn't seem to me to be the same issue.

I submitted 68865, so, yes, it is the same problem. However, I searched for bugs
which I submitted and it did not appear (several others did). Sorry to send in a
duplicate. I don't consider the "ascii" answer to 68865 nearly adequate.

That's not an answer.... it's a guess as to what may be going on.
