707411 - Can't log-in to https://apps-preview-dev.allizom.org on Firefox after removing the Apps extension

When using Firefox, if the user does not have the apps extension installed or not enabled, they are not able to log-in to https://apps-preview-dev.allizom.org. Clicking the Login/Register button does not do anything and the BrowserID log-in pop-up does not appear.

I'm using Firefox 9 b3 on Windows 7.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox
2. Go to https://apps-preview-dev.allizom.org - Make sure you don't have the Apps extension installed. If you have it installed, please disable it or remove it then refresh the page
3. Click on the 'Login / Register' button

Actual Results:
Nothing happens and the BrowserID log-in pop-up does not appear.

Expected Results:
The rotating gif should show and the BrowserID pop-up should appear as well.

I suspect this is something on your end.  Others have been logging into this site without any add-ons installed.

Sorry, here are better steps to reproduce that work for me everytime:

1. Launch Firefox
2. Install the Apps extension - openwebapps-23dc5022e9-12_02_2011.xpi from http://people.mozilla.com/~dclarke/openwebapps/Extension/
3. Uninstall the Apps extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
3. Go to https://apps-preview-dev.allizom.org/
4. Click the 'Log in / Register' button

Actual Results:
Notice nothing occurs. 

I'm also using Firefox 9 b4 if that matters.

Can anyone else reproduce this?  Can the steps be reduced to just #3 and #4 using Firefox 9?

apps-preview is dead.  marketplace.m.o is the new hotness
