Hello - we are going to use this video on Mozilla.org on the /about page. It will be fairly high traffic and should probably be on the CDN. The video is here at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37844157/Mozilla_2011_printmaster.mp4.zip
Blocks: 708923
The URL should be videos.mozilla.org/brand/Mozilla_2011_Story.mp4 so we can reference it in Universal Subtitles (see bug 708923) for details.
Can anyone from IT help with this?
I've re-encoded these at ~50k and 480x270 in ogg and webm. They're less than 6MB each.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7054348/Mozilla_2011_MPEG2.webm

Let me know if they're not good enough for some reason.

Thanks for the turn around Bobby!
Moving around for IT to help handle.

Hi Michael - the new /about page is dependent upon the completion on this bug and there are a couple of interim steps.

This needs to be completed by Monday morning 12/19 I believe for us to hit the rest of the deadlines.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Michael - thank you! We also needed the mp4 version uploaded, noted in the original description of the bug - could you upload that one as well? [So it would live at http://videos.mozilla.org/brand/Mozilla_2011_Story.mp4] Thanks - happy *almost* holidays, and glad you liked the video!

Sorry for the delay, I know we have a timecrunch. I've uploaded a more recent encoded version that hlangi: sent me.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Thanks Michael, thanks Henry, and thanks to Rainer for encoding the mp4.

Hi Michael,

I took a look at the earlier .org and .webm files and they are only 480 by 270. Rainer converted new versions at 640 x 360 and Henry is uploading them to the file server now for transfer to the CDN.

Thanks, Steph.

I've overwritten the webm/ogv files with their newer encoded versions.

Hi Michael - checking what is in production, doing a bit of qa, it looks like the .ogv version of the video is still the smaller size and is looking granulated. I have the correct version on my machine here. Putting it into dropbox here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46734023/Mozilla_2011_Story.ogv. Would you upload this version to the CDN? Thank you.

I've updated the file locally and it will propogate to the cdn. Let me know if this doesn't look right. I'll be by the computer if needed.

Hi Michael - checking this morning.

The http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/brand/Mozilla_2011_Story.ogv file still looks like the old granulated 480 by 270 version. I cleared cache etc. I checked the version I uploaded to drop box - it is clear and at 640 x 360: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46734023/Mozilla_2011_Story.ogv.

Just to do a comparison I looked at http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/brand/Mozilla_2011_Story.mp4 which looks good, 640 x 360.

I looked then at the http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/brand/Mozilla_2011_Story.webm version which seems *also* to be the old version. Here is a link to the 640 x 360 version here. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46734023/Mozilla_2011_Story.webm

Hi Michael - the two video's in comment 16 still appear to be the old smaller size and resolution. Can you confirm that the new video's have been uploaded to the CDN?
These videos are live at http://www.mozilla.org/about so getting those new files uploaded would be great.
Resolving as complete.
