I've opened few tabs in Firefox 8 with one of them containing a PDF document. Even if I was working in any other tab than which contained the PDF document, I encountered an issue with my keyboard and my touch-pad. Scrolling or pressing 'up/down' arrow on keybord affected the PDF document and not the active tab. This problem isn't encountered when using the scrolling wheel of a conventional mouse. I had to shut down the PDF tab to recover all use of my touch-pad and keybord in the other tabs. This problem is recurrent every time a PDF tab is opened.

This could also be Bug 273456 (for the keyboard part), which should be fixed in FF 9. Do you still see the problem in that Firefox version?
Depends on: 273456, 626813
I still had the problem with the touch-pad scrolling in FF9. + many crashes in use + problems with some videos on youtube when switching in 1080p so i've updated to google chrome, goodbye firefox !
I have the issue using 11.0 but I've solved it by separating the PDF tab into a separate instance of Firefox, then my previous instance of Firefox(with multiple tabs running) is scrollable via touch-pad or mouse-wheel or arrow keys or page-up/page-down. Easy fix, but thought I'd update so it's known the issue still occurs.

We're sorry you were having this issue and we never resolved it at the time. This was probably something to do with Adobe Acrobat Reader which is no longer supported, and Firefox has its own pdf viewer now.

If you're still having issues in the latest versions of Firefox, please feel free to file a new bug.
