710683 - Tabs button is not updating when opening a new tab

Steps to reproduce:
1. open native fennec
2. go to preferences
3. and tap on About Nightly
4. observe the tabs button

Expected result:
the button should change from "+" to "2"

Actual result:
the button is changing from "+" to blank

Note: this is happening only when you open the application for the first time, so you have to make sure that Fennec is closed before following the STR.

I can only reproduce with the above STR; seems to be no other issue with other site access.

I was able to reproduce this also following next steps:
- open Fennec
- tap on "+" button to open a new tab
- tap on bookmarks and load a bookmark in the new tab

I can also see this on the current nightly (Samsung Galaxy S2, Android 2.3.4).

For me it also happens when I select items from Top Sites list on awesomescreen.
The funny thing is, when I open more tabs via the "+"-Button/Top-sites-list in a row, only for even numbers the tab-counter stays blank, for the odd numbers in between it shows up just fine.

Also, clicking the URL-bar once and hitting the return-button always fixes the issue and the counter also shows up for even numbers.
That is until the app is restarted. Afterwards the game starts all over again.

The last time I tried debugging this, I found that the page update was going on in UI thread, blocking the animations - hence showing a blank and not any number.

Got the problem with Fennec Native 2012-03-05. I was always unable to reproduce.

Opening new tabs will always update the Tabs Menu button on the latest Nightly. Closing bug as verified WFM.
