Steps to reproduce:

i can login to gmail with my password which contains the @ character


Actual results:

using thunderbird, i cannot login with gmail IMAP with the same password


Expected results:

login should be succeed

i have a smiliar problem my my password contents unicode characters like ß for example. that is so **** lame. pls fix it
