720579 - [One Mozilla] Design Blog Theme

Description

Goal: Take existing blog.mozilla.com theme and update it to the One Mozilla look and feel that Sean has created for the home page and interior page.

This single theme will be applied to all of blog.mozilla.com and the sub-blogs off of that theme.

Notes:

*Deadline - PSD by February 2, 2012 (Tara is this enough time? we can be flexible, just lmk know)
*Ty has expressed interest in this (he loves blogs!)
*no copy bug needed

Would be great to set up a call with Ty to review current theme, challenges, and One Mozilla updates.

Ty, how does this timeline work for you given all the other bugs on your plate right now?  I think it makes sense for Ty to take this on since He and Sean can collaborate closely.

Im not sure that I can get you the PSD ready for Feb 2 as I have several bugs to complete by EOW. Id feel more confident if we had an additional week or more since Sean is pretty swamped too, and is still testing the new moz.org framework.

Ty, since we'll be using the home page design, which is set to be finalized this Thursday (ish), and this will be on Wordpress, so not using the framwork, does Feb 2, still feel too tight? We could shoot for Feb 9, but that puts implementation behind by a bit and there are new blogs coming down the pipeline (I'd hate to see you have to do something in the Firefox theme and then replace it with the One Mozilla theme).

Let me know a date, and we'll create a workback plan from there.

OK, Ty, back over to you for design polish:

Craig needs:

*2 approved backgrounds - one sandstone, one Firefox blue stripes (check with Sean on what blue stripes we're using)
*1 Firefox logo for the area where you see the den's logo that Firefox-specific blogs can use
*any other polish you see that it needs

This is a Phase 1 of many, and we'll need to lock and load by Friday this week. How does that work for you?
