(Whiteboard: Due: 2/15)

Hi Matej, We are planning to replace the tablet promo on /fx with one that features the new native UI. We want to increase awareness of this new version, and let our visitors know this is a much better Firefox for Android. Can you help us out on copy? Messaging: -Firefox for Android is a fast, powerful, rich Web browser specifically designed for Android phones and tablets that allows users to expect more from their mobile Web experience. -Firefox for Android users upgrade to a personalized Web experience that can be synchronized across all their devices, so mobile browsing is faster and easier. -NEW! Requirements: -Must include something along the lines of "Your Firefox is up to date" messaging -Something short, punchy (one line-ish) -note: this will also be localized Copy hand-off: how's Feb 10/Feb 15? Thank you!
Matej - We're also adding in a Beta promo to replace the current Affiliate promo there now. This Beta promo should fit the rest of Grace's Beta campaign in copy tone. I also updated the graphic bug 724107 to that extent. Thanks!

Is this a copy bug for both promos now? It would help me if they could be split out. Thanks.
Also, to clarify comment 0, is this replacing the big promo on the page, the "optimized for tablets" one?

Is this a copy bug for both promos now? That was the intent since they're on the same page. However, we now want to launch the mobile promo before the end of March, so will pull out due to your request and that timing change. Please disregard! It would > help me if they could be split out. Thanks. Consider split.
(In reply to Matej Novak [:matej] from comment #3) > Also, to clarify comment 0, is this replacing the big promo on the page, the > "optimized for tablets" one? You got it! That's traditionally the main promo spot we change when there's a big product release like this. Since this mobile re-launch will be our big message during this time, it will get this prime real estate. Also, please note that the "Your Firefox is up to date" copy should remain since it's considered primary functionality on this page. :)
Thanks for the clarification. It's a bit tough to get all the information from comment 0 into one short line, but here are some options of varying lengths: Your Firefox is up to date. Now take it to go with our new native Android UI. Your Firefox is up to date. Now get our latest mobile version designed specifically for your Android device. Your Firefox is up to date. Now make mobile browsing faster and easier with our new version for Android. Your Firefox is up to date. Get a fast, powerful, rich browser specifically designed for your Android phone and tablet. Your Firefox is up to date. Get more from mobile browsing with our all new version for Android.
My picks: Your Firefox is up to date. Now make mobile browsing faster and easier with our new version of Firefox for Android. [made a slight tweak to this one] Your Firefox is up to date. Get more from mobile browsing with our all new version of Firefox for Android. [slight tweak at end] I'm also interested in possible copy geared towards Sync/synchronization of all your devices/etc - any recommendations? [looping in Greg for Sync bits]
Since there's only going to be one of these, it would have been helpful to know that Sync was your priority up front. As it is, I think we have enough to choose from, but if Sync is the preferred direction, we should scrap these and start again.
Sorry about that. Maybe we can adjust the current ones we have? Your Firefox is up to date. Now make mobile browsing faster, easier, and personalized with our new version of Firefox for Android. Your Firefox is up to date. Get more from mobile browsing with our all new version of Firefox for Android. ^Depending on the design to go with it, this one can convey Sync as well
I prefer the second since it's shorter, but here's a tweak to the first if you want to use it: Your Firefox is up to date. Now make mobile browsing faster, easier and more personalized with our new version of Firefox for Android.
Here is a couple of suggestions with a focus on sync, which I am sure can be improved: You are up to date. Now discover the new Firefox for Android and take your Web with you, anywhere you go. Your Firefox is up to date. Now take your personalized browsing experience on your Android phones and tablets.

I prefer the first because it mentions that there's something new (even though it uses some older language, if that's OK). The second seems more like a promo for Sync. The only thing is the first line: Your Firefox is up to date. Now discover the new Firefox for Android and take your Web with you, anywhere you go.
Thanks Greg and Matej! Let's go forward with this one: Your Firefox is up to date. Now discover the new Firefox for Android and take your Web with you, anywhere you go. Tara, comments?
Works for me, looks good thanks. Though it does seem a little lengthier than our normal strings for this spot: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/ And we need to figure out how that string fits into the existing template and mixed styling: (Georgia italics + Caps/Bold Meta). So, we can figure that out in design, and come back to tweak copy as needed.
Whiteboard: Due: 2/15
Hi all - launch has been pushed back to early June, we have time to mull around some more for a early April hand off if needed
