Let's implement a What's New page for Aurora based on the designs in Bug 667603. That bug is for the First Run page, but since it's using one of our standard What's New templates, it will work well to serve that purpose with a couple of WebDev tweaks.
The desired behavior is to have this page show every 6 weeks. In the near future, we'd like to implement a lightweight way to have PMM update the latest features that need testing, but for now, let's implement this page since it's very important to increase these user's awareness around filing feedback, and this page does a good job of that!
Design: https://bug667603.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=543217
Copy Tweaks to Design:
1. Please replace all mentions of Beta with Aurora
2. Replace the Blog module with a Social Media Module
3. Social media module creative: Use these creative assets here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/7.0/whatsnew/
Twitter: Grace - can you provide that link, if we don't have Twitter what other link should we put here? What about forums?
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/FirefoxAurora
Change "Join Mozilla" to "Blog"
Blog: http://blog.mozilla.com/futurereleases/category/aurora/
4. Change the headline to: "You are now running the latest version of Firefox Aurora"

This page is built out in trunk. Grace, can you review the content before we send it to QA? Thanks.

Just realized that this bug is for the Aurora whatsnew page, while my previous comment/commits are for the Aurora firstrun page (which has Bug 667419). Are the aurora firstrun and whatsnew pages identical?

I fixed the basket integration. Forms that use basket need a hidden parameter that specific which newsletter to use. I just had to add:
<input type="hidden" name="mozilla-and-you" value="Y" />
And it works now.
I noticed that when there's an error on the form, and it's already expanded when the page is loaded, the white box around it doesn't automatically expand with it, so half of the form bleeds off into the dark space. You can hardcode $status to "error" to see this.

My above comment was for the firstrun page as well. Not sure if they're usually the same page, I can't find any htaccess rewrites concerning them.

r101622 need to be rolled out with the firstrun page. I'm not added it to the whiteboard yet until we confirm if it should be in this bug or the other one.

Fixed the styles for the form in the error state. Waiting on clarification of the relationship between the firstrun and whatsnew page now.

Ok, the whatsnew page just includes the firstrun page for now, so they both display from the same code.

Hi Steven,
This looks good.
However, I was wondering if we can update the last promo/box to be Firefox Aurora for Android rather than taking them to the channels page?
Adding Matej, for copy recommendations.

We can probably use this image. But not sure if it's too small.

Thanks Steven - Looks good to me, pending the change of the "Feedback" graphic and copy.
It's okay to combine these pages for now, but I believe we will want separate pages pretty soon for What's New vs. First Run. For example, the First Run page should really welcome these VIP users to this channel, since they're seeing it for the first time. The What's New page should have messaging like "You're now running the latest version of Aurora" instead of "Welcome" and in the future (Q2) will call-out the cool new features ready to be tested.
It's okay to launch this for now, but do want to make sure we build with that in mind.

Correction to the above: "Feedback" graphic and copy only applies to Beta.

Swapped out the Channels promo area for the Mobile promo as requested. The small aurora mobile image Grace posted worked well, because the "Firefox Aurora for Android »" is a bit longer now.

thanks Steven.
It should link to: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/aurora/
Can we also update the copy to:
Get Firefox Aurora for Android
Preview the latest mobile and tablet features
Other than that, this looks great.
Thanks!

Thanks Steven.
It looks great!
Can we make the image a slightly bigger? We can also move down a little bit given we have a of text on the top of the box and not as much at the bottom right.
other than that. it look great and should be good to go.
thanks

One little thing: The N on "Get it now" (bottom right button) should be lowercase. Otherwise, looks great! Thanks.
