I am able to reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly build. However, the position seems to be maintained, even if the zoom level will be reset.

Right now we rely on gecko to save/restore the scroll position, which works fine. The zoom is not stored in Gecko though, so it cannot be saved/restored during reload or back navigation.

This issue is still reproducible using:
Nightly 18.0a1 (2012-09-30)
Aurora 17.0a2 (2012-09-30)
Devices: HTC Desire Z (Android 2.3.3), Asus Transformer TF101(Android 4.0.3)
Like Nicolae said in comment3 the position is kept.
