+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #609245 +++ We should further improve the 3pane's splitters, e.g. by providing separate states for dragged-to-collapse and collapsed-from-the-View-menu. Attachment 578282 [details] [diff] has a WIP patch for this. Ditto for the address book. If nothing else, the address book needs collapsed splitters to expand a little when mousing over them.

I hate the new 1 pixel wide pane splitters (separators). Anything making them more usable and visible has my support ;) Even Outlook 2007 has them thick (similarly to TB before about 9).
