In today's Maple build (2012-02-23), the viewport of the document doesn't cover the entire screen on load. Only after a swipe movement, the document gets stretched correctly.
Tested on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the HTC Desire HD.

This should have been fixed by http://hg.mozilla.org/projects/maple/rev/15e3fc38103f (bug 729537) - please reopen if that isn't the case.
