Steven, In Q4 2011 and Q1 2012, http://mozilla.org/about was redesigned to include a new video and branding. It was also localized (hooray!) We would like to take this content and refit it to become the new design for http://mozilla.org/mission The one addition to the layout would be to include a link to the manifesto directory: Read the Mozilla Manifesto to learn more about the values and principles that guide the pursuit of our mission. http://www.mozilla.org/about/manifesto.html ---- Before you start on this sometime in March, we can circle back and discuss. Pascal, we might need to create an l10n bug to track this single string translation. ---- We'll have a new design for /about that's somewhat more pragmatic, turning it into a jumping off place kind of like this page http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/about/
Chrissie, how does this fit in with bedrock and the new one-mozilla visual style? I think the /about design could be relatively easily adapted to the new layout/style.
Hey Steven, Great question. I was thinking along the same lines. Can you adapt as needed to the interior page design (2-column layout) over on Bedrock?

@steven Feedback from jslater: - the breadcrumbs at the top should end on Mission v. About - body copy update, replace similar sentence with this one: "When you use Firefox or any Mozilla products (LINK TO /PROJECTS PAGE), you become a part of that community, helping us build a brighter future for the Web." I know we're rushed, but are you able to polish the templates to make better use of H1, ordered lists, hierarchy of headings (more on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=730809#c9), and other polish tweaks. -------- @matej - Can you recommend a headline more inline with the Mozilla mission - Can you recommend a subheadline or a bit of text above the video
Thanks Chrissie. Matej, let's talk about this when you're back on Monday (please ping me). My sense is that we need a headline that pays off the concept of the Mozilla mission more than the current one does too. Possibly a subhead or intro sentence as well.
