From Bug 726088. Should be easy enough to use the Commons Codec version, if we don't mind modifying ch.boye code.

Alternatively, we can abandon 2.1. Taking a dependency on Bug 662891 to track that.
I think I have this working.

nhirata, would you be willing to test a build for me, with the same steps you tried in Bug 726088?

The fennec version in comment 1 crashes.  Attached is the logcat.
nhirata tested without launching Fennec, and logs look good.
Filed Bug 730749 for the Fennec error in Comment 3.
