Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
Build ID: 20120215223356
Steps to reproduce:
Performed a search using a Google search engine downloaded from http://mycroft.mozdev.org/
Actual results:
The results page is desktop version of Google, not the mobile one. This makes it very hard to read results
Expected results:
The mobile version of the results page should have been displayed instead. Note that already this happens by default using Fennec's built in Google.com engine, but not in case of engines added manually through http://mycroft.mozdev.org/.
The only other way to do it is by manually adding "m?" to the URL, so
http://www.google.com/search?q=firefox&source-id=Mozilla%20Firefox&start=0
becomes:
http://www.google.com/m?search?q=firefox&source-id=Mozilla%20Firefox&start=0
It's very difficult to edit a URL on a mobile screen - there must be a way to recognise that the search is performed by a mobile device and therefore return the mobile results?
Summary: Mycroft mobile → Searches performed using Mycroft search engines do not return the mobile version results page
