xul:checkbox can't be disabled (such as with javascript)

accepting. this should go away when we merge with the html checkbox.

Moving all Widget Set bugs, past and present, to new HTML Form Controls
component per request from karnaze.  Widget Set component will be retired
shortly.

just tried it. this now works (as html:input). i did notice however that there is
no disabled appearance, which is probably an oversight of the css.
