Steps to reproduce:

As i am using different extensions on different computers, i'd love to be able to choose to not sync all of them. Like with a checkbox for every extension on the extensions page.

For example: FireFTP is needed on my Notebook when i'm not at home but not on my desktop computer, as is can directly access my server via local network shares (and is highly unlikely to move around).
The same goes for several remote-control extensions.

Also People may be using different extensions on machines they are doing their work with.

In a worst-case scenario different machines use conflicting extensions.
Having too many/not needed/conflicting extensions installed may also have an impact on performance and stability - a thing i seek to avoid.

I thought we had a bug on this already. Maybe it's in the Add-on Manager component?

Related: bug 764767 requests the ability to choose to sync extensions, but not sync their settings.

I'm not sure what the UX should be here and I don't consider this a high priority, but it is a reasonable request.

I revive this issue, because I think this is totally a big need! ^^

I have a lot of addons from my work computer that I clearly don't want at home because it will slow my Firefox...
