Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Build ID: 20120312181643
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Create a bookmark whose title begins with "H", such as "Hello Bug". Address of bookmark should be of the form http://www.hIsTheFirstLetter.com/ to most faithfully duplicate, although I don't believe it's relevant.
2.) Have browser.urlbar.trimURLs set to TRUE.
3.) browser.urlbar.default.behavior = 2 (auto-complete from bookmarks). Problem occurs with history as well, but is unnecessary to reproduce the bug.
4.) Try entering a URL beginning with https://.
Actual results:
The "H" will match on the bookmark name, and when you type "T", the "H" you entered will be replaced with "W", the first character after the URL scheme from the bookmark. You will end up with an unhighlighted "ww" after typing two characters, regardless of what you actually typed, and a highlighted remainder of the bookmark it's incorrectly matching.
Expected results:
Typed characters should not be replaced.
