I think this was a symptom of bug 735668, which is now closed. Marking this bug as resolved WFM.

My understanding is that we disabled it on aurora and beta, but left it on trunk to work on it.

Ludo: Did you try clearing out the prefs under mail.providers.accounts, and re-adding? I have a feeling what you were hitting was fragments from an earlier version of Filelink that didn't clean up properly after itself. -Mike
