The tooltip shown when hovering Conversations/Contacts or Participants lists is always the same and appears as: <twitter logo> @<connected username> timeline Account <account name> It should be more informative and less redundant. For example: - remove the 'timeline' word - display hovered participant or contact avatar i.s.o the twitter logo - display hovered participant or contact nickname i.s.a the connected username
I got a little confused by participants for Twitter in general, so filed bug #770868
For what it's worth, a lot more information is available via the protocol [1], perhaps the UI isn't listening to the notification that provides this [2]? I've attached an image of the information as shown in Instantbird. I believe the tooltips are much improved, but still miss the avatar.
Component: Instant Messaging → Twitter
Product: Thunderbird → Chat Core
Summary: Twitter: Twitter participants or conversations/contacts tooltip → Show avatar in tooltips for Twitter participants
Version: 13 → trunk
This ended up getting fixed in bug 739675.
