Actual results: One (I hope only one) of my emails from my inbox is now missing. This has happened at least twice over the course of 2 weeks. Expected results: No emails should be missing after compacting.

The release notes say: v.12.0b1, released: March 15, 2012 I'll install the build you mentioned and see what happens. Thanks.
David , anything to report ?
Similar but different mail data corruption can occur even after fix of Bug 736539. See bug 730947. Check with build on which patch of bug 730947 is landed, please.
I installed the patch, (advised on 2012-03-29 15:18:04 PDT) but may have still seen the problem after. However, I have had later updates (I'm up to BuildID 20120410125251) and I haven't seen it since. I'll set a reminder to come back and post a comment in one week regarding this if this incident is still open.
The problem appears to have been resolved. The compaction has happened at least twice now and all my emails look intact. My current build is 20120418104341. Thanks.
David, so nothing was permanently lost?
I did lose emails earlier on when I first reported the problem. However, I am no longer having that problem. It appears that it has been fixed in the later builds.
