Check out the testcase; the GIFs don't run to their end (and then loop) like
they're supposed to.

Does this bug also have anything to do with this:
http://inconnu.isu.edu/~ink/broken_image.png
Here are a couple of snapshots of the animated gif as it's supposed to work:
http://inconnu.isu.edu/~ink/good-image.gif
http://inconnu.isu.edu/~ink/good-image2.gif
It's an animated GIF ad from slashdot.org for VA Linux

I forgot to mention, those 'broken' images appear under 2001-04-05-05/Linux

The first testcase, "testcase" is still not working. The new one works fine for
me, but I didn't attach it.
Pavlov, maybe you should consider fixing this till 0.9.1?

When testing this on Win 2001041620, both testcases works, only problem I could
find was that the flag on http://www.dsymb.org.tr
had a black background in Moz even though it's transparent in NS 4.7

Ick. as I have commented before, the first test case is WRONG. The test case
with the tree blue bars. the animated gif is set to loop ONCE, but mozilla is
making it repeat indefinately. (see bug 76500) I have verified this by looking
at this same test case in Netscape 4.x, and by saving the GIF from the testcase
to my hard drive and opening it in Jasc Animation Shop.
Also, the bug that David mentioned about the images on http://www.dsymb.org.tr
is covered separately by bug 73978

The bug appears to be related to leaving droppings and new frame paint
corruption on top of the old image rather than getting through the animation.
Some animations that seem to be frozen will sometimes exhibit the behavior when
you reload them. It seems like two different issues are being demonstrated by
those testcases where it also incorrectly runs forever.

worksforme now, however, there are other issues. such as - should we repeat a
GIF animation by default?

GIF animation looping still needs to be fixed, I'll get to that this week I
think.

Build ID 2001050515 on Win 2000
I'm seeing animations looping that should only run once: e.g.

mark.annand@zetnet.co.uk , you are using an old build. Try again with a newer
one. A lot can chnage in 20 days in Mozilla land.
hwaara@chello.se , is this bug fixed? The testcase is behaving correctly now
(even though its caption describes the wrong behavior for the actual image)
