List Name: Mozilla Webmaker List Admin: firstname.lastname@example.org, Short Description: Tools, projects and events for webmakers Long Description: We make webmakers. This list is for open discussion around the Mozilla Webmaker project. Our mission: create TOOLS, inspiring PROJECTS, and local EVENTS that help millions of people move from *using* the web to actively *making,* building and sharing with the web. Focused on areas that matter, like education, media and youth. Justification / Special Instructions:
So we are going for "Webmaker" rather than "Webmakers"? Do you envisage there only ever being one list? If so, mozilla.webmaker seems to be the obvious choice (list name: email@example.com). Gerv
Summary: Discussion Forum: Mozilla Webmaker → Discussion Forum: mozilla.webmaker
* "Webmaker" over "Webmakers," yes. * firstname.lastname@example.org sounds great. (I just included "Mozilla" at the front because the form told me to :)
The newsgroup and Google Groups versions have a prepended "mozilla.", but the mailing list name removes it (it's already in the domain name; another "mozilla" would be redundant). Over to server-ops for creation of mozilla.webmaker. Gerv

Whiteboard: [waiting for Giganews and Google]
List created, waiting for GigaNews and Google Groups... https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/webmaker
Could I possibly get a status update on this? Are we still waiting for GigaNews and GG? Thanks!
Matt, Giganews added this as expected (subscription directly to news.mozilla.org nntp works), but Google Groups doesn't seem to have picked it up yet: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/mozilla.webmaker I'll email the admins to see if this can get poked and/or prodded.
Thanks Michael! Much appreciated.
I'm having the same problem with google groups and mozilla.dev.privacy (bug 735813). Perhaps this is systemic?
We are waiting on Google. They are working on re-writing the groups intake process and it is a very slow and manual labor for them. We have no ETA from them when certain groups will show up online. Just keep checking. :(
Ok, thanks Dumitru! We're launching our new Webmaker site June 6. Code freeze June 1. So hoping to have the new triple ready by then. Fingers crossed.
Any status updates here? Google still not co-operating?

* Any status update on this one? :)
* Still no joy?
Dumitru or Michael -- anyone in Google we could specifically ping on this? Have inroads there, but want to know where to direct the prod. thanks!
From Google, it was Andrew Shebanow who replied last time.
* Thanks for all your help with this everyone * In the meantime while we're waiting on Google, can we just get people to sign up to the Mozilla hosted mailman version? That already exists right?
Yes. If people want to subscribe via email, that's the preferred route anyway. https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/webmaker Gerv
Can you please also give admin access to this list for: Mark Surman <email@example.com> Benjamin Simon <firstname.lastname@example.org> Thanks!
These users are set as admins. Let me know if I should set a new password and share it with all three of you, or if you will be sharing the existing password.
