There are basically 4 ways to run Gaia:

- In Firefox( or better Aurora/Nightly): this kinda works, but many of the APIs aren't available, so apps error
- B2G Desktop (firefox built with b2g options): I just got this working, and this seems pretty good - I have noticed one issue on the phone that doesn't seem to cause an error here, and not all apps show up in the homescreen, still trying to figure out why.
- Emulator: Seems similar to b2g desktop, only more difficult to build and test with. Might be more feature complete - still investigating
- On a b2g phone: most accurate testing platform obviously but tedious, and you need a spare smartphone

So I think B2G desktop is going to be the easiest, and will work with most apps I think.
