2001040505 trunk for Mac Mail/News Click the close box. Crash
I didn't see this with build 2001040505 using Mac OS 9.1 (but my build is commercial)
*** Bug 74950 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
build 2001-04-05-I don't have the problem either, my mac is 8.6. using either the menu item File|close or the close box in upper left corner of title bar. We have other crash bugs for Mac. Reporter is this the only function you performed? Because of other crashes we have, it's important to know what else you might have done around the time of the crash.
I'm using a mozilla on linux that was cvs updated and compiled today (4-05-01). When I open mozilla then mailnews, I auto login to my imap account. I do nothing further but go to "File", "Quit" and the brower segfaults. If I hit the 'X' to close mailnews, it does not segfault. The message left on the console window is: run-mozilla.sh: line 72: 29200 Segmentation fault $prog ${1+"$@"}
I have tested this on two different machines running MacOS9.1 and 8.6 (both Japanese). In both cases, Mozilla was set to start with Browser, and then Mail/News was started by command+2. In one, defautl POP account checked mail. The other had no POP account. Both crashed when close box was clicked well after the initial activity of starting Mail/News was complete.
I have tested 2001040608 trunk and it did crash again.
You can get the same stacktrace when you display a Newsgroup thread in outliner tree, and select a message, then close the Mail/News window.
sounds like a dup of #74944
yes. dup. I saw this on Mac today, after doing my performance tests, using File | Quit. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 74944 ***
