User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.162 Safari/535.19

Steps to reproduce:

Put my computer in hibernation. Woke it up from hibernation.


Actual results:

IMAP stops working. You have to manually hit the "Get All New Messages" button to get it to run again.


Expected results:

The client should resume its IMAP state.

Yes, this will solve the problem but I would rather use IMAP's IDLE method than check every 5 minutes.

This bug happens in all versions of Thunderbird.

Did you test TB10 as requested?
please describe your network.
please describe your imap setup - IDLE, check for new messages every N minutes, etc

Yes, the problem still appears in Thunderbird 17.0.5.

It does the same in TB10. Checking for new messages is disabled.

bug 836869 introduces a fix that helped firefox 23. Can ou try thunderbird 23 (beta) from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ ?
