User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.162 Safari/535.19 Steps to reproduce: Put my computer in hibernation. Woke it up from hibernation. Actual results: IMAP stops working. You have to manually hit the "Get All New Messages" button to get it to run again. Expected results: The client should resume its IMAP state.

Yes, this will solve the problem but I would rather use IMAP's IDLE method than check every 5 minutes.
Daniel, do you agree with bug 746345 to the extent that you had no problems when using version 10?

TB17 also fails? Did you test TB10 as requested? please describe your network. please describe your imap setup - IDLE, check for new messages every N minutes, etc

@Phoenix Yes, the problem still appears in Thunderbird 17.0.5. @Wayne Mery It does the same in TB10. Checking for new messages is disabled.

bug 836869 introduces a fix that helped firefox 23. Can ou try thunderbird 23 (beta) from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ ?
