The legacy flexbox layout implementation does unnecessary reflows and has other functional and performance flaws that we would like to fix for the tab strip by replacing it with the new CSS3 flexible box layout implementation.

It looks like this won't be needed for bug 750417. I'm not aware of the other functional and performance flaws mentioned in comment 0. Please file bugs on them.

We may want to generally retire -moz-box in favor of the standard flexbox layout at some point, but we should probably start with more peripheral UI pieces rather than the tab strip.
