Firefox Native 14.0b1 build 3
Device: HTC Desire (Android 2.2)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to any website. For e.g. cnn.com
2. Open the Menu and choose to save the page as PDF.
3. Wait for the download complete system notification.
4. Tap on the notification to open the PDF file.
Expected results:
The "Complete action Using" prompt is displayed.
Actual results:
The notification is dismissed. Issue is not reproducible on Nightly 15.0a1 2012-05-09.
This is not 100% reproducible but the reproducibility rate is high ~80%. I have installed for PDF files PDF Viewer and Adobe Reader.
I was unable to reproduce the issue on Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android 2.3.4), Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.0.2) and LG Optimus 2X (Android 2.2)

I have documented the recommendation to use Adobe Reader for PDFs created in Firefox on SUMO. (I'm not sure if this is the related bug--I'm no longer able to find the one with [sumo] whiteboard with my query for some reason.

No, that was a bug with Polaris Office. This issue with notifications. I don't think there is anything for SUMO to note here.
we had a bug like this before that was closed off as invalid. bug 747782.. it has a sumo tag.

This is completely unrelated. That was a bug in Polaris Office. This is some sort of bug with the way we are creating Android notifications.

So it sounds like this regressed with the removal of the download permission maybe?
All the android versions mentioned above are no longer supported.
