Go to live.com on fennec native. On fennec native, you will a desktop site rendered. On IPhone, you will see the mobile site rendered. UA sniffing is evident here. Note - Android stock browser and Chrome for Android are also getting the desktop site, so it looks like only the IPhone is getting served the right site.

I have a conversation started now with MS about this issue. In order to ensure I have my ducks lined up in a row: - Can I have the UserAgentString that we're currently sending out? - Is it just the login.com page we're seeing this, or other MS pages like hotmail, skydrive, etc? Thanks.
(In reply to Karen Rudnitski from comment #2) > - Can I have the UserAgentString that we're currently sending out? Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Mobile; rv:15.0) Gecko/15.0 Firefox/15.0a1 > - Is it just the login.com page we're seeing this, or other MS pages like > hotmail, skydrive, etc? It's throughout the entire windows live site. So that includes login page, skydrive, hotmail, and any other parts of the live site. > > Thanks.

Release coming up will be: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Mobile; rv:14.0) Gecko/14.0 Firefox/14.0
Also confirming that Microsoft sends us good mobile content with our legacy user-agent which has the appended Fennec token

Hallvord, also Frederic Harper might be able to help for anything Microsoft. At least with where to ask.

(In reply to Karl Dubost from comment #7) > Hallvord, also Frederic Harper might be able to help for anything Microsoft. > At least with where to ask. I sent an email to Mary Ellen Anderson (with Karl Dubost in CC), my old skip-level manager. She was managing MSN in Canada before, so she should be able to put you in contact with the right person. If it's not working, please let me know as I have another contact that may be able to help.

Joanne/mconnor, could we push Bing on this?
Hey Kev, the Bing folks have no relationship to live.com and it looks like Karen already reached out to MS - see comment 2 and Frederic did in Comment 8. Rather than confuse my Bing contact, I'm going to let Karen & Frederic sort this out with their contacts. If they hit a roadblock let me know and I'll start the process, but it could take a while for the Bing folks to track down the right Live.com folks. Thanks, Joanne
Note that we have a specific bug opened for Bing (Bug 827622). I agree with Joanne, that we should try to not mix up the bugs too much. On the other hand it would be useful to have a contact point which could channel issues and/or help us find the right persons in the different areas of Microsoft.
As a former Microsoft employee, you really need one contact per division. The company is too big, and sometimes it's hard, even internally, to find a good contact for a specific product. Karl, is Mary Ellen replied to you? If no, I have another contact for MSN.

Completely agreed and often it depends on your role in a division - my contact is in Biz Dev, not engineering. Also, live.com is part of either outlook or windows, not sure with the last reorg, so we should try for a contact there.
That's just about when I started... and I think I was using Kev to find someone in MS so I wouldn't be waiting on me at all!
(In reply to Frédéric Harper from comment #12) > Karl, is Mary Ellen replied to you? If no, I have another contact for MSN. Yes thanks a lot Frédéric.

fwiw, I logged into my live.com webmail account via fennec nightly and it rendered a lovely mobile site and not the desktop one today.
