Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:15.0) Gecko/15.0 Firefox/15.0a1 Build ID: 20120531030517 Steps to reproduce: I click reply, shift reply, reply-all, shift reply-all, R, ctl-shift-r etc. I tried to add or remove recipients. Actual results: Sometimes, the recipients are shown in gray. I can't add or remove any. Expected results: The recipients list should show up in black text and be editable. I don't even understand why a read-only recipients list is an option for the compose window. So, if there is some rhyme or reason to this, I am probably missing it. It might be random but I think it's actually somehow dependent on my HTML or plain-text preferences? Usually it catches me by surprise, when I'm in a hurry. My default right now is HTML mode composition. Sometimes if I click the reply button, the recipients will be grayed out, but if I shift-click for text mode composition, they'll be black. When I had the other default, it was similarly unpredictable though. Actually I've had a nice little streak of repeatable behavior, where it will always be in black if I alternate between the HTML and plain text composer, but if I try the same way twice in a row, it will be gray. This has been happening intermittently in dailies, for a while, I'm sorry to say.
