This might be a dupe, but I'm filing to make sure it's on hyatt's list and is
in his face. It is unfortunate that we don't do this and it really makes us
stick out like a sore thumb on mac.
It's probably ok to just do:
- scrollbars
- checkboxes/radio buttons
- buttons
for the first pass, and that will get about 95% of the crappiness out of the
way.

Sounds kinda related to bug 6582. Sounds like we need an attribute on the window
we can test to style the controls in background windows, something like
window.inactive.
Sounds like bug 61513 (Interface elements need to dim while in background). I
would mark 61513 a dup of this, though. This bug has cooler "in your face"
keywords :)

You were right, it is a dup ... Older bug has some implementation details too.
