While working on newnewtab I noticed some apps are missing icons -- example: https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/en-US/app/test-app-jsucksjkj/

I thought app icons weren't optional for marketplace (http://people.mozilla.org/~smartell/marketplace/style/). If I'm wrong about that, please let me know, but I think expecting an app icon was a reasonable thing to do.

In my unbiased opinion... Sadly, this is by design. See bug 760343 for the discussion.
