Details
Build: 2001041908, Mac OS 9.1 To reproduce: * Run the Mozilla full installer. * Click `Continue' to get past the welcome screen, and `Accept' to accept the license. * Read the descriptive text for the `Typical install'. What it says: * `Installs the most common options. Quickest to download; recommended for most users.' What's wrong with this: * It doesn't install the most common options, it installs *all* of the options. * It doesn't `download' anything, leading to confusion about whether the user (a) got the wrong installer by mistake, (b) needs to be connected to the Internet to install Mozilla, and/or (c) needs to take download speed into account when deciding what to install.

I see that bug 126201 describes the same confusion on the Windows side.
Quoth Steve Dagley: "The Mac installer code was never Carbonized and there is no intention to ever change that." http://groups.google.com/groups?threadm=yahoo_com-77F6E8.09344011022003%40h-204-29-187-156.netscape.com http://groups.google.com/groups?threadm=avkj4k%24ihs2%40ripley.netscape.com
