This is a bit worrying given that the reader UI is standard HTML/CSS/Javascript. I don't have a device with Android 4.1 to try this yet.

I've captured a video of what I see. On entry into reader-mode and scrolling down I see the toolbar flicker. I wonder if it's a regression from the "paints a black background" patch you landed? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QazR2-QWACk&hd=1

Testing today on 07/04, a recent back-out or a fix these past two days has fixed this. Not exactly sure what; but WFM now.
