Details

Create a template. Note that TB puts a message ID in it. Open the template for edit and save it as a draft. Open the template for edit again and save it as a draft a second time. Do View | Message Source on both drafts and observe that they have the same message ID. One would think that this wouldn't be an issue, since the message ID gets replaced when the message is sent. But it will be on broken IMAP servers which get confused when two drafts have the same message ID. Microsoft Exchange appears to be one such. When a template is loaded for edit, its message ID should be reinitialized with a new, random one, so that if/when it is saved as a draft, either auto-saved or manually by the user, its message ID will be unique in the Drafts folder.

What is difference of this bug from bug 720646?
(In reply to WADA from comment #2) > What is difference of this bug from bug 720646? Not sure. Might be the same issue. bug 720646 is much more complicated than this bug I filed, so it's hard for me to tell for certain that bug 720646 includes the issue I've reported here.
Depends on: 720646
Bug 321355 fixed this.
